Road to 30

In 17 days I will be 30. I have waited my entire life to be thirty. You see, I have always acted older than my actual age. So turning 30 I feel my number age will “almost” match my maturity level.

The last year of my 20’s has been a roller coaster; well an emotional coaster to say the least. I mean imagine twists, turns, thrills, chills…the whole nine!

But as it is with life, our journey is full of seasons. We have to learn to shift and move with the flow. As 30 approaches the season is once again shifting.

The theme during my prayer/meditation time seems to be Forgiveness and Release. It is time for me to shed some unnecessary baggage. God obviously doesn’t want me to take junk into my 30’s. Well, neither do I! It is time for me to walk in total forgiveness and release people, things, negative perceptions, lies, labels, rejection, abandonment…the list goes on!

I am excited for my 30’s. I don’t fully know what lies ahead, but this I know, that God has seen me through some pretty traumatic situations in the last 29 years, and I completely trust Him to continue to get me through this next phase.

I can’t wait to share what is to come.

What lessons did you take from your 20’s into your 30’s?
