Get up and Walk!

on

This morning after prayer and a devotional I laid back down for some more sleep before the kids woke up.

After a bit of sleep I realized the kids were still quiet, and the thought crossed my mind “get up and go on a brisk walk”. I sat and wrestled with this thought because the bed was soooo comfy. But eventually I knew my body, mind and soul needed to be outside.

Once outside,  I immediately felt peace. The sun shined bright on my skin and energized every me from the inside out.

I needed the very thing I had to fight myself to do. Why is it so hard to do what we need most?

My intention today is to take care of myself in the mist of serving others.

This morning I got up and walked. What will you do?

  1. I have a list of things I do, every day and most of those are for survival, so there’s no choice in the matter. I do like to write, though and I do that every day. night, too
